These files can ONLY be used with the "Ableton.Live.v6.0.1-AiR" Scene Release (PC ONLY, no Mac).This product (the EIC) must be "unlocked" just like "Live 6, Operator, and Sampler". The AIR release has the EIC unlocked. If you are using a different Live 6 installation (e.g. a retail copy you purchased), you WILL NOT be able to use these files.

Description
-----------
The boxed version of Live 6 ships with the Essential Instrument Collection (EIC), a multi-gigabyte library of meticulously sampled and selected instruments from the SONiVOX (formerly Sonic Implants) premium collections.

The EIC comes in the Live 6 Retail box on DVD in the form of 9 Live Pack files (.alp files):

Installation Instructions
-----------------------
To install a Live Pack, double-click the Live Pack file (.alp), drag it into the Live main window, or locate it via the File menu’s Install Live Pack command.


The Included Instruments
-------------------------
The following multisampled instruments are included:
-- Acoustic Keyboards: Grand Piano, Harpsichord, Celesta
-- Electric Keyboards: E-Piano MK 1, B3 Jazz Organ, B3 Rock Organ
-- Orchestral Strings: Solo Strings (legato): Double Bass, Cello, Viola, Violin; Ensemble Strings (legato, pizzicato)
-- Orchestral Brass: Solo Brass (legato): French Horn, Bass Trombone, Tuba (Eb), Trumpet; Ensemble Brass (legato, staccato)
-- OrchestralWoodwinds: SoloWoodwinds (legato, legato vibrato): English Horn, Bassoon, Clarinet, French Oboe, Concert Flute, Alto Sax; Ensemble Woodwinds (legato)
-- Plucked Instruments: Harp (fingers), Jazz Upright Bass, P-Bass (fingers, picks), Six-String Nylon Guitar (tones, chords), Strat Clean (tones, chords)
-- Mallets: Glockenspiel (hard mallets), Xylophone (hard mallets)
-- Voice: Mixed Choir (ahh, ohh)

After installation, the EIC uses approximately 7.2 GB of disk space (this torrent is bigger due to the RAR recovery volumes).


How To Play the EIC
--------------------
After installation, the instruments are accessed through Live’s Device Browser. You will find them as Instrument Rack presets located in the Instrument Rack folder.


Other
------
As a final note, the Ableton website (Downloads section) contains some additional Live Packs that are NOT part of the AiR Live 6.0.1 installer. The AiR installer only installs two Live Packs (Basics.alp and Lessons.alp), but the website contains many more (e.g. Sampler and Simpler Live Packs).
